This book deals with the concept of leisure and the everyday leisure practices of a group of diverse single women in an urban setting-Mannheim, Germany. Vania L. Sandoval earned her PhD in social and cultural anthropology at the Ruprecht-Karl University of Heidelberg, Germany. Her research interests include emigration to Europe and cultural identity, the anthropology of food and eating, and leisure and lifestyle studies.
