Streitbare Demokratie. Helmuth Plessner in nachbürgerlichen und posthumanistischen Zeiten

Der Artikel tritt mit zwei Fragen an Helmuth Plessner heran: Wie können wir, erstens, ausgehend von dem Essay Grenzen der Gemeinschaft einer gesellschafts- politischen Brutalisierung entgegenwirken und, zweitens, Anthropologie in post-humanistischen Zeiten rechtfertigen? Die These ist, dass wir dazu eine ästhetisch erweiterte, nicht-dualistische Anthropologie benötigen. Genauer gesagt, muss man die humanistische Ethik des Spiels mit einer nicht-dualistischen, womöglich ontologisch-relationistischen, also posthumanistischen Anthropologie begründen und dabei zugleich, über Plessner hinausgehend, ihre ästhetischen Potenzen nutzen.

The article addresses Helmuth Plessner with two questions: how we can, firstly, counter socio-political brutalisation analysed by Plessner in his essay The Limits of Community, and, secondly, how we can justify anthropology in posthumanist times. The thesis is that we need an aesthetically expanded, non-dualistic anthro- pology for this. More precisely, we need to justify the humanistic ethics of play with a non-dualistic, possibly ontological-relationist, i.e. posthumanist anthropology, while at the same time, going beyond Plessner, use its aesthetic potencies.
