This text contains a meditation practice from Tibetan Buddhism. Buddhist teachings are divided into the General Paths and the Higher Paths on the Vajrayana path. For tantric meditations like this one should have already acquired knowledge of Tibetan Buddhism. They presuppose teachings from the general paths. Without these teachings, the contents of the meditation texts are difficult to understand. In addition, one should be familiar with Deity Yoga and have received at least one Kriya Tantra Initiation from a qualified teacher.
I was born in 1960 in Germany and grew up in a scientific home. From, of 1980 on I studied at the university in Göttingen. My contact there never completely broke off and still exists today. Besides social sciences and psychology I was especially interested in ancient languages. These include: Latin, Ancient Greek, Ancient Hebrew, Old-Syrian, Sanskrit and Old-Tibetan. In the university context, old languages are learned analytically. Furthermore, the grammatical characteristics of the individual languages, text analysis and the classification of texts in their overall context are dealt with. In addition to grammar, methods of text and literary criticism are also applied. The present text also contains elements from different traditions. Some of them go back to very old Indian texts, which today would have been lost by the decline of Buddhism in India if they had not been transported in a much later Tibetan frame text. Since I decided not to pursue a church career, Tibetan Buddhism has become my home for many years. I appreciate that Buddhism combines clear factual analysis, an action based on factual analysis with a pictured world and symbolism. This is linked by mythologies, wisdom, compassion and development of personality to Buddhahood. In doing so, the narrow limits of our imagination and outlooks on life are dissolved, without, however, abandoning the factual ground, the analysis and the power of judgment.
